# A year of rank history on your phone

Your rank history in RankASO lives on your iPhone, in the app's own database, and in your own iCloud if you turn sync on. A year of daily checks for a few hundred keyword-storefront pairs is a small amount of data, small enough that keeping it all on the device costs nothing and sending it to a server would gain nothing. Here is where it is, how it follows you to a new phone, how to take it elsewhere, and what the free and Pro plans show of it.

## Where it lives

Every daily check writes one rank per keyword per storefront, with the top 10 on the term and the facts behind the score. The app keeps those on the phone. Before each app update, it takes a local backup of the database, so an update that goes wrong can never cost you the history. There is no RankASO server, and the App Store privacy label, Data Not Collected, is a description of that.

## How it reaches a new iPhone

Turn on iCloud sync in More and the history is mirrored into a private database tied to your Apple ID, which only your Apple ID can read. A new iPhone restores it on first launch. Two phones on the same Apple ID see the same history. If you never turn sync on, the history stays on the one phone and the local backups.

## How to take it with you

More → Your data exports everything as CSV or JSON: every keyword, every storefront, every day, plus the rivals' ranks read from the same searches. A spreadsheet reads the CSV; a script reads the JSON. There is no lock-in because there is no account to lock.

## How much history you see

The free plan shows the last 90 days on every chart and in every comparison; older checks are kept, not deleted, so upgrading later shows the whole series. Pro shows everything, for as long as you have been tracking. A year of history is where ASO gets interesting: the seasonal terms show their shape, the versions line up against their baselines, and a rival's slow climb is visible as a line rather than a surprise.

## Deleting it

More → Privacy → Delete everything removes the database on the phone, the iCloud mirror, the local backups and the widget's data, and returns the app to its first screen. Deleting the app alone removes the phone's copy; the iCloud mirror remains until you delete it from inside the app or from iCloud settings.

## Questions

### Where is my RankASO data stored?

On your iPhone, with local backups before each update, and in your own private iCloud database if sync is on. There is no RankASO server.

### How do I move my rank history to a new iPhone?

Turn on iCloud sync before switching. The new phone restores the history on first launch under the same Apple ID.

### Can I export my App Store rank history?

Yes, as CSV or JSON from More → Your data, including rivals' ranks. The export is the complete record.
