Ranks

A keyword shows "filtered"

Apple's public search returns nothing for some explicit terms. RankASO shows that honestly as "filtered" rather than a rank. Apple's own Ads numbers, if you connect them, can still carry demand for those terms.

A day shows "No check"

iOS decides when a background check runs. A missed day is stored as missing and drawn as a dashed marker, never faked. Open the app and pull down on Today or Keywords to check now; manual checks have a one-hour cooldown.

"Apple's App Store isn't answering"

Apple allows about 20 searches a minute per phone. If Apple throttles or is down, the check pauses and retries by itself, keeps what landed, and tells you when it will try again. Nothing is lost.

Ranks differ from what I see in the App Store app

Apple personalises the App Store. RankASO reads the public search result for a storefront, which is the neutral list. Small differences are normal; large and lasting ones usually mean the storefront differs.

Pro and purchases

Restoring Pro on a new iPhone

More → Restore purchases. Pro is tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Family Sharing applies to the annual and lifetime plans.

Cancelling or refunds

Subscriptions are managed by Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Refunds are requested at reportaproblem.apple.com; we cannot issue them ourselves.

"You're at the Pro limit"

Pro tracks 250 keywords per app and 400 keyword-storefront checks a day on one phone, which is what Apple's rate allows. Pause keywords you are not watching to free checks; paused rows keep their history.

Apple Ads connection

What I need

An Apple Ads account with an ad account (Advanced), and an API user. More → Apple Ads walks through it: the app makes a key on your iPhone, you paste its public half into Apple Ads, then paste the three ids Apple shows. The private key never leaves the phone.

"Apple didn't accept this key"

Check the three ids, make sure the API user's role is "API Account Manager" or higher, and that the iPhone's date and time are automatic. Nothing is saved until Apple accepts the key.

Data

Moving to a new iPhone

Turn on iCloud sync in More before you switch; the new phone restores from iCloud on first launch. Exports (CSV and JSON) are under More → Your data.

Deleting everything

More → Privacy → Delete everything. It removes every record on the phone and in your iCloud database, the Apple Ads key, backups and widget data, and returns the app to its first screen.

When you write

Include the iPhone model and iOS version, the app version from the bottom of More, and the keyword and storefront if the question is about a rank. Screenshots help. Nothing in the app identifies you to us, so the email is the only way we can reply.
